(VUBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, January 18. This morning waa lovely at the Hutt, but work was not of much importance, most of the horßes being given light tasks in view of tho winding up gallops to-moirow morning. Scottish Minstrel had slightly the better of Windwhistle in a low furlongs sprint on tho plough, and Cameo had most to say at the end of six furlongs, on the plough, in company with Cudet and Hypnotist, run in lmin 203ec. Spider galloped "leasingly in a spin from the six furlongs post on the outside of the racing track, taking lmin 20sec for the distance. Menschikoff had a little the better of Cruciform over a measured half mile on tha plough, the pace being merry as the time (_B4sec) proved. Borea3 ; • looking bright and well, trotted a couple of rounds, and then put in another couple at half pace. One of his legs looks somewhat suspicious, but it ia thought he will como through the final gallop all right. Advance look_ nono the worse for his Auckland trip, and is aa bright 83 _, star. He put in half pace work for a fow rounds, and Tortulla did half pace work. Ngatahuia hs_s filled out since he last appeared" in public, and both he and Whitney did serviceable tasks, while Ostiak trotted. Proaser's two-year-okls (Laureate, and Heatherly, by Quilt —Maud) were to bo worked after breakfast. Skobeleff ran a m.asurcd milo on the plough in lmin 46_ec. He went better than lie did yesterday. Mohvood printod fi.a furlongs nicely, and Fornioann nnd Ruamahunga ran along a few furlongs nt top. Serviceable tasks wero performod by Blazer, Magnificent, Pala. din, Strathnairn, Shelter, Fashion, Hermosa, '-.at-rford, Dewdrop, Lady Agnes, and Art Jewel.
