ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A man named Robert Gray was working at tho Addington Workshops yesterday moming when a small piece of tin flew up and entered his eye. The man was taken to the Hospital.
An illegitimate male child, twelve days old. died suddenly on Tuesday night at the residence of Mrs Sarah Niven, nurse, Colomba street, St. Albans. An inquest was held yesterday afternoon. Dr. Clayton, who had made the post mortem examination, stated that death was due to inflammation of the lungs, and the jury returned a verdict accordingly.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND. January 16. An elderly man named John McDonald wa3 arrested yesterday afternoon on a charge of drunkenness, and taken to the lock-up. As he had sustained injuries to his head he was removed to the Hospital, and was found to be suffering from a fracture of the base of the skull. He died last night.
