BATTALION CAMP AT ELMWOOD. The North Canterbury Battalion's annual camp at Eimwood this year consists of about sivtv tents, and two marquees for officers mess, not counting ambulance camp and hospital tent. Linwocd Rifles (Captain Drayton, Lieutenants Johnston and Ward) 44, Civil Seivice Rifles (Captain Fisher. Lieutenant Wray) 30. Cyclists' Corps (Lieutenants Finnis and Gibson) 13, Bearer Corps (Colour-Sergeant Bishop) 17. Lieutenant Peacock (Canterbury Mounted Rifles), Acting-Captain Burns (Ellesmere Guards). Acting-Lieutenants Stewart and Moir (Highland Rifles) were attached to the camp as Instruction officers. The camp will last for fourteen days, the men going into camp each evening after ordinary duties. Last year's marksmen compete for Government "medals at Bromley Range next Saturday.

A match between the Amuri. Ashburton, Cust, and C.V.C. Mctmt.d Corps is to be fired at Bromley on Wednesday, the I6rh instant. The winners will receive a trophy value £5 ss, given by Dalgety and Co.
