Loan and Alcrcantile Agency Company have received the following London cable, dated 9th January. 1901: — "Wool —We expect an advance next sales for merino and fine qualities crossbred ol 7_ per cent to 10 per cent. There is little prospect of a change in medium and coarse crossbred. . "Wheat—N.Z. wneet, average, is worth 29s 6d per 4961b; N.Z. wheat, longberried, is worth 30s 3d per 4961b. -Tallow—There is a rather better demand. N.Z. fine mutton is worth 29s 6d per cwt.; N.Z. good beef is worth 27s 3d per cwt."
