FRENZY OF THE ONLOOKERS.
A DEADLY SPOT.
(Received January 13th, 4.43 p.m.) LONDON, January 12. Details abow that the vessel is falling to pieces aft. Tbe hull is rolling about and tha sea invading it. Tho passengers were half starved, and were lashed to the rigging. Superhuman efforts were made to go to the rescue and they were watched with frenzy snd suspense. The forehold on Thursday was alone dry, the bulkhead watertight compartments preventing its collapse. The wind having shifted, lifeboats were able to get to the wreck and rescued all en board at dawn on Friday-. The disaster was due to mistaking Foramen for the Pienier lights. Twenty steamers have been similarly lost previously, many with all bonds.
