THE CANTERBURY TROOP.

Owing to the dampness of the drillshed grounds, the Canterbury Trcop for South Africa has gone into camo at the Show Grounds. A telegram was received on Saturday from Wellington intimating that tlte troop must be ready to leave Christchurch by Tuesday next.

The name of P. Ballantyne. Riccarton, was omitted from our recent list of the men being sent as additions to the Canterbury troop of the Third Contingent.
