FIVE MEN ENTOMBED
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Dacemhar 6th, 11.19 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 6. The Greta Colliery is on fire, ai:d five men —Buck, Fuller, Hislop, John Crowell, and Fred Crowell — avo entombed. The rescuers were driven back by the heat and smoke, and hope of saving the men has been abandoned. THE COLLIERY CLOSED DOWN. (Received December 7t;>. 12.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 6. All attempts to rescue failing, and as the fire was spreading rapidly, the Greta Colliery has been clessd down.
