SCURRILOUS ABUSE OF MR CHAMBERLAIN.
A feature of the election is that Mr Labouchere, Sir William Harcourt, Sir Henry Campbell Bannerman, 'Mr A. Birrell (Chairman of tho Liberal Publication Committee), and others leaders are making violent and scurrilous attacks on Mr Chamberlain.
The "Spectator" says it is monstrously unfair to represent him as the Government's evil genius; other papers denounce the malignity of tho attacks.
