RUSSIAN NAVAL REINFORCEMENTS.
ST. PETERSBURG, October 1. Russia has ordered her new ironclads Sevastopol and Poltara, and five large torpedo boats to reinforce the squadron at Port Arthur. (The Sevastopol and Poltava are of 10,960 tons displacement, and of the following dimensions:—Length., 367tt 6in ; beam 69ft; draught, 26it. They cost £1,093,000 each. The armament of each of theSe huge ships consists of four -<iin and twelve 5.9 in quickfirers and 34 smaller guns).
