CYCLING.
At a meeting of the committee of the Christchiirch Cycling Club, on Monday, it ■was resolved to hold the HiH Climbing contest and opening run on Thursday next. Entries for the Hill Climbing were extended till Tuesday, October 2nd. It was decided to start an ambulance class in connection with the club on the suggestion of Mr W. E. Thompson, aod a sub-committee was apl pointed to arrange details. The following resolution was carried in connection with the handicapping fees to be charged this season : —'That the committee of the club are of opinion that the whole of the (handicapping fees should be given to the handicapper, and that the fees should be the same as the previous year." Mr w\ Jackson was elected clerk of the course for Thursday neJrt, owing; to Mr H. Thompson not being able to attend.
