SHEFFIELD MARKET.
At the Sheffield monthly market on Friday there was a small entry, only a littte over 1400 sbeq> and lambs cammp to band, the bulk beiDg ewes with lambs. Pat sheep were represented by under 100, which were htt& better than good forward stores. Titer? was a fair attendance, and bidding was s-ood considering tie class of sheep, and the following were the prices: —Wethers 17s to 17s lOd, fat crossbred , ewes 15s Sd, crossbred -hojrgets 13s 3d to 14s 3d. crossbred ewes in lamb (venrpoor) lls lOd. crossbred ewes ■with lambs 8s 2d to 10s 2d (all counted), merino ewes in lamb 9s 9d, merino ewes with lambs 7s lOd (all counted). There was a good yarding of pigs, over 70 being pennsd, mostly small stores wjth a fewpood porkers. The competition was fair, the following prices bring obtained: — Baconers 37s 6d to 58s 6d. porkers 17e 6d to 235. small stores 6s 6d to 10s.
