A STEADY ADVANCE,
CAPTURE OF QUANTITIES OF SUPPLIES.

. Lord Roberta is at Machadodorp, and General Buller is at the junction of the east and south roads, near Spitzkop. The enemy has gone in sections southwards and northwards.
Major-General Paget has evacuated Warm Baths, owing to the humid, unhealthy nature of the situation, and has destroyed the railway.
Adjutant-General Douglas has captured a quantity of grain.
General Clements fought Commandant Dβ la Rey between Krugersdorp and Rustenburg, expelling him from two positions. Two British were killed and fourteen wounded.
General Pole-Care.w is continuing his advance up a narrow and difficult portion of Elands Valley. The Boers are retiring to Godwaan. Later.
General Bulkr has captured Spitzkop and three hundreki thousand pounds of rice, sugar, flour, and coffee, and three hundred boxes of ammunition.
General Pole-Carew has occupied Goodwaan, the Bo?rs retreating from the place when General Huttoa threatened them in the rear. FRENCH OCCUPIES BARBERTON. RELEASE OF BRITISH PRISONERS.
