Wind—Gale from between north and east and south-east at all places north of Thames and Manukau after ten hours, and extending southward to the East Cape, Taupo, and Ilagian. Gale after ten hours from between north-east and north and west southward of Napier and New Plymouth; moderate from eastward at all other places. Barometer—Fall everywhere Sea—Heavy on the ea3t coast north of' the East Cape, heavy after from twelve to sixteen hcurs on the east coast south of Castlepoint, and the west coast southward of Cape Egniont. Tides—High on the west coast south of New Plymouth and the east coast northward of the East Cape and south of Castlepoint. Ra.in—Probable generally. Warning signals for easterly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, and for northerly gales at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulv/ind. ". srororsia OS- THE previous '48 HOURS. Moderate tc strong northerly winds have been generally experienced, and there has been frost early this. morning at Te Aroha, Naseby, Pembroke, and Balclutha. A low pressure from the west passed east in the meridian of the South Cape late on Saturday, and another from the same direction is approaching. There is also a low pressure to the N.N.W. of ihe Noith Cape, travelling to the S.E.
