JUBILEE EXHIBITION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir. —Could you or any member of the Jubilee Exhibition Committee tell mc if the rules for exhibitors must in every case be rigidly adhered to? For instance, a girl friend of mine has been doing plain needlework in her spare time for months past for the exhibition. But in a schedule which I had and showed her, she finds Rule 6 says: "No competitor must exceed the prescribed age on Ist November, 1900." Alfher work will be finished before she is 18, neither will she be 18 when she puts in her entry form on the 29th September. Must site compete in another class amongst older and more experienced workers, simply because she is a few days over the 18 on Ist November?— Yours, etc., GRACE. August 26th, 1900.
