THE BOERS NEAR BELFAST.
A STRONGLY-ENTRENCHED POSITION.
LONDON, August 26. The Boers hold the mountain ridges between Belfast and Dalmanthua further east on the railway line. (Received August 28th, 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, August 27. Lord Rpbeits, at Belfast, reconnoitred the enemy's positions, which extend for twentyfive miles on spurs, confronted with morasses. They also occupy an entrenched stronghold along a high ridge, extending for 8000 yards eastward.
