Tbe Cyclists' Corps held a Government parade on Friday night, when there I|sf,.» good Attendance, under Lieuts. Finrtis am! Gibaon. The corps was marched out to Cranmer square, where cycle drill was gone through. After parade the corps met in the orderly room, when Colour-Sergt. Hopkins, on behalf of tlw* men, made a presentation to Lieut. Gibson on the occasion of his marriage. The College Rifles, City Rifles, and Imperiali. journeyed yesterday to New Brighton for the purpose of practice in field work. Captain Charlewood was in> command, and there was a good attendance of all corps. Divine service was held by Rev. J. Dunkjey, and later the men were exercised in skirmishing and scouting work. Captain Snow acting as umpire. The men were marched back to Cowlishaw's corner, where they were d'smissed. The Lyttelton Naval Artillery Cadets held a church parade yesterday morning at Si. Saviours. West Lyttelton. Over thirty members attended. Captain Longuet was in command, and Lieuts. Brown and Wales were present. Tlie service was conducted by the Rev. E. E. Chambers, who preached from the text, "Now, t-erefore, endure liardnesH as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." 'The Lyttelton Brass Band" played the Cadets to and from church.
