The colonies had asked her to respect the votes upon the matter of selfgovernment, declaring that what was asked would promote the .prosperity of the Empire. The Agent* General has caibled to SJrLyne, that the Imperial Govenunent has been , favourably considering the question of vestment of British trust funds in colonial etoeks, but the movement will be seriously jeopardised if appeal to the Privy Council is limited.
