Mr Frank Lawry e_d he proposed to introduce a Bill into the next Parliament, to legalise consultations. Mr Carroll's health was drunk with enthusiasm. He paid a high tribute to the way in which trotting was carried on in Canterbury, and advised the local club to go in for class trotting. Mr Carroll said that the Auckland Racing Club stood higher than any other racing club in the colony.
