The third day' 3 racing of the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting took place to-day. The weather was glorious, but the attendance was only moderate. Results: — THE SECOND HURDLE RACE, a sweep of 5 soys each, with 250 soys added; second 50 soys from stake. About three miles. W. Daniel's b g Begs, by Bargo, aged, lOst 71b 1
J. B. Barclay's br c Aberdare, by Belvedere, 6yrs, 9st 121b ... 2 D. Matheson's br g Havelock, by The Levite—Mabel, 9st 131b ... ... ... 3 Seven started. Bega was favourite at 3 to 1 against. The neld was well together from the start to nearing the finishing post, where Bega shot out and won by two lengths. Time, 6min 6 sec. THE ALL-AGED STAKES, a sweep of 10 soys each, with 400 soys added; second 50 soys from stake. Weight for age. One mile.

Parthian got the best of the start, but Sequence, who was left at the post, soon made up his lost ground. The order, on j passing the stand, was Parthian, Merriwee, Paul Pry, and Sequence. I'his order remained unaltered, for, although Merriwee matie • a bold bid opposite the- St. Leger stand, Parthian won, after a clattering finish, by a length. Tim©, 3min 45sec.
