VOLUNTEER FIRE POLICE.
The Committee of the Chratchnroa Volunteer Fire Police met at the City Council Chambers last night. Mr C. M. Gray presided. Out of a long list of applicants the following were chosen for recommendation to the City Council;—E. C. Ashby, G. Andrews, F. J. Barlow, John Beattte, W. Barnett, P. Bee, J. A. Blank. W. H. M. Bergb, W. I. BaiUngar, J. Botrers. W. Cougreve, J. Duncan, H. Frost, J. F. Grierson, C. M. Gray, W. Garrard, H. Barman, G. Hobbs, B. F. Hobeon, A. R. Kirk, J. Laadrv, R. Linn, W. H. Meifckhain, J. H. Newiyn, J. O. H. Newbnry, A, L. Pareons, B. C. Pratt, G. E. W. Pickles, E. J. Righton. G. J. C. Smart, E. W. Seager, F. W. Sandford.
