POSITION FAVORABLE TO THE BRITISH. ■■-■-**»»**. _^ A Reuters telegram statea that the resistance at Kroonstad and elsewhere is designed to cover the enemy's ultimate withdrawal to Transvaal territory. March 27. The military authorities hope the Boers will fight at Kroonstad as the position is not naturally strong, and the plains beyond render pursuit easy.
