BRITISH OCCUPATION OF PHILLIPPOLIS.
SURRENDER OP THE BURGHERS. LONDON, March 26. The Tasnianians and Rimington'e Scouts, who were in the Tan of Major-General tflements's force, were the first to eater Philippolis. Later on Major-General Clements entered the town, the Dragoons, -with drawn swords, acting as on escort. After MajorGeneral Clements had read the proclamation, the burghers surrendered their arms, and took the oath of neutrality.
