The weather was perfect, and about 4009 -persons were present. Epsom Stakes Handicap, of 20 soys; five furlongs— Fairy Tale 1, Moss RoSe 2, Miss Lane 3; time, lmin Bsec; dividend, £2 2s. Criterion Trot Handicap, of 60 soys; one mile and a half—Uric 1, Fibre 2, Patron 3; time, -.n-nr, 35_sec; dividend, £5 12s. Welcome Stakes Handicap, of 35 soys; six furlongs—Lady Howitzer 1, Fairy Tale % -Mora 3; time, lmin 2€eec; dividend, 15s. Class Trot Handicap, of 60 soys; two miles—Bob had a walk over. F. Murfitt, the rider of Patron in 4he Criterion Trot, waa disqualified for twelve months for striking and interfering with Bird, the driver of Victory, in the race. The protest against Cleveland, by the owner of Empraa*, in tha Scteond Horn*** Trot, sun
on Wednesday last, was dismissed, but it being shown m evidence Cleveland had been trained by another -unregistered trainer, the hbrso was disqualified. An appeal is lodged and the stakes and totalisator money impounded till the decision of" the Trotting Association becomes known.
