CRONJE'S POSITION BOMBARDED.
AN ARMISTIOE REFUSED. LONDON, February 23. Fifty guns bombarded Cronje on Monday and'- T_es_a,y, saddling cottsiderably to the Boer losses. The eneony asked for twenty-four Shouts' anrnstica to. bury their dead, but Lord Kitchener replied, "Nob a minute's armistice'! Fight, or surrender iinconditionally."
