ASHBURTON SACRED HEART HIGH SCHOOL.

The annual concert and distribution of prizes at the Sacred Heart School, Ashburton, took place on Thursday afternoon. The display of needlework, writing, drawing, mapping, painting, etc., arid'the excellent programme of music, bore testimony to the thorough training the pupils receive from the sisters in charge of the convent. The Very Rev. Dean O'Donnell, and the Hon. Major Steward, M.H.R., each addressed tlie pupils, and, the former distributed the prizes, as follows: — Good Conduct— Boarders: Teresa Leddy and Maggie Duncan. Day Pupils: Annie Davia and Ha Paul.
