CHRISTCHU3CH. Tuesday, December 26. (Before 21. Beetham, Esq., S.M.) DbuntlENNESS.—There were two firsb offenders charged with this offence. As they had already been locked up a considerable i numbers of hours fchey were convicted and discharged. Vagrancy.—James Hoskings was charged with having insufficient lawful means of supj port. The evidence went to show that he ' slept in various out-of-the-way places, and gained his living by begging. He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. UNTiAWTUTXY OS PREMISES.—Peter Thompson was charged with being unlawfully on the unoccupied premises of Mr Edward Stirling White, BarbaHoes street. Ha was remanded till Thursday. Bail wa3 allowed, one surety for £25. Theft of a Bicycle.—James Chapman was charged with having, on the 23rd December, at Christ-church, stolen a bicycle, value £22 10s. He was remanded till Thursday. ; AJTD EXTEBINO.—JoS. Hanson was ciarjjjed with 'havMg broken into the house of H. Ellmers, Tai Tapu, and stealing jewellery and cEothihg to : the value of£l6 2s. He was remanded tilf Friday. , Obscexe Language. -Michael McCarthy was charged .'with'haying used disgusting language in the church grounds of St. Luke's, on the 24th inst. He was sentenced to 48 hours' Imprisonment.
