CRICKET.
At a meeting of the Junior Cup Committee held yesterday, it was decided, owing to the number of wickets engaged at Hagley Park for the next round of Junior matches, that the Junior Cup match, Midland v Sydenham, should be played on the ground of the latter ; the return match to be played at Hagley Park. THURSDAY COMPETITIONS. A match was started yesterday between Post and Telegraph and Drapers. Post and Telegraph went in first, and compiled 124 (W. M_-~eU 32, Palmer 25, Russell 28, P. Mansell 15). The Drapers responded with 116 for eight wickets (Turner 44, CTark 20, Makohn 17, Strange 13). Drennan and Berry bowled best for the Drapers, and W. Mansell for the Poet and Telegraph. The match Sydenham v Farmers' Cooperative w_s bsgan at Sydenham yesterday. The Farmers' Co-operative batting nine men scored 96 (Frankish 41, Blunden 25), and Svdenham 68 (Marsden 21 r Moore 13). Petrie and Frankish. for the Farmers', and Memman and Marsden, for Sydenham, bowled best. _ue Sydenham Club provided afternocqi tea. ' ' (FBESS ASSOCIATIOar TH_____U_.) DUNEDIN, October 20. ' At a meeting of the Otago Cricket Association, it was decided to send a team on tour this season, playing matches at Christchurch, Welbngton, Napier and Auckland.
