BORROWED MONEY.
When advocating personal bonds for parochial leans, Mr W. G. Brittan, at the Synod last night, remarked that tbe ease with which money had been, and could, he borrowed, waa a great evil to this colony, from tbe <-oven_-e~ts to the humblest individual. In fact it appeared to him that the colony acted on the cdviee of Artemus Ward, "Let us live honestly, and within our means, even if we have to borrow money to do it,"
