The bulk of tihe store sheep -were odd lots, with the exception of a large line of rather level croasbreds, and the market was, if anything, a shade -weaker for all classes. The line mentioned, 866 wethers and maiden ewes, made 14a 9d: 111 four-tootih wethers, 15s 4d; small lots of wethers, 15s 9d to 16s Id; 153 shorn, 10s 4d; 100 shorn wethers and ewes from the Chatham Islands, 8s sd; 100 do, 9s yd; 107 hoggets, lls 7d; others, 13s; ewes in. lamb, 13s lid to 14s 7d. About 200 fat lambs made 15s to 16s 6dfor prime, and 12s 6d to 14s for others. Tuere was a full yarding of fat sheep, the bulk of which were freezing sorts. A number of the lines, however, contained unfinished sheep, and these to a large extent spoiled the saJ.es. ' Merino wethers, suitable for freezing, unless of undeniable quality, showed a aeoline on last week's rates.
