The Electoral Rolls for the following districts can be seen at the Registrar's Office, IngUVs Buildings:—City of Christ/church, Riccarton, Selwyn, Ellesmere, Lyttelton» The Avon, roll will be issued next week. ' ; •*' A meeting of Mr Chas. Taylor's supporters' waa held in tlhe D-ruids' Hall, Sydenham, laab might, when a committee was ■formed to secure 'his return. Thiere are 4017 names on the electoral roll of Selwym distodct. It is stated that a meeting of temperance delegates will shortly take place" at Dun-, eaadel with Hhs object; of choosing a candidate ti> contest tihe Selwyn seat at the general electi'b-ii. Sereral gentlemen axe mentionend ais likely to come forward, but nothing definite is ye* decLded. A meeting of the friende and supporters, of Mr A. E. G. Rhodes for seat will be Jheld in the Linwood -HeJTtiiie eren-' ing at eighit o'clock. A fairly well attended meeting of electofi* of the Riccarton district was held ■in the Papanui Library on Tuesday evening*' It was proposed, and carried unanimously, thai Mr G. Barnes, a resident of forty-two yea»* standing, is a fit and proper person-to repre- . sent the district in the House of Representatives in the Liberal interests.
