PORT AU PRINCE, August 11. A hurricane in the Carribean Sea wrecked

Aponce, in Puerto Kcco. drowning 200 persons. All shipping was driven ashore. Seventy-four fatalities occurred at Montserrat, where every church was destroyed, and the whole country devastated, the people being rendered homeless. Twenty-one persons were killed at the island of Nevis, while many lives were lost at Guadeloupe.
