WELLINGTON ANGLICAN SYNOD.
♦ < (PRESS ASSOCIATION T-LSC-i-C.) WELLINGTON, June 30. At the Diocesan Synod to-night, the following resolutions were carried:—"That this Synod, cordially approving of the introduction of the organisation known as the Church Lads' Brigade into the diocese, recommend that the clergy carefully consider the question of forming companies in their respective parishes, where possible." . The Rev. R. Coffey moved—"That, in the opinion of this Synod, it is desirable that church women should be allowed the franchise for the election of churchwardens, vestrymen, and auditors." After a long and spirited debate, in which the proposal was woor-hly 'received, the motion was carried on the voices.
