t • " i The Land Board met on Wednesday. Pre« sent: —Messrs Weetman, McMillan, Pringle, and McLachlan. The . applicants for land in the Tamed Hamlet were examined. 1 ' Nine were admitted to the ballot aoad three ' rejected. Ah application by R. M&hony, holder of Lot 76, Alburv Settlement, to take <up the adjoining Ldfc 74, was refused:- The 1 following applicatione for land were ap- ' proved:—S. Eslef; 6a 2r 4p, Opawa; D. Nicholson, 154 a3r 2p, Njimrod. Several ' applications for transfers of leases and licenses were dealt with. The reports of the Crown Lands Rangers were received. On the application of Mr B. E. R. Langford, as owner, it was resolved ,to grant him a tenancy of 125 acres, near Warren Station. It was decided to grant, ai fourteen years' lease of twenty acres of the Omihi Stock Reserve to Mr W. Baker. A memo was read from the Minister of Lands, approving of granting a three years' lease to Mr J. IX ■ Mfllton to occupy the river beds adjoining 1 his property. On the application .of the Chairman, of the Waiheo School ' it was resolved to allow them the use of the School Reserve in Morven.Township. The Board met again on Thursday, all the mem-bers-being present. Several.applications for " transfers of leases and licenses ■ were dealt witL It was resolved to offer 153 a2r of the ' Waii&u Dip Reserve for .lease by public ten- '' der for a term of fourteen years at an upset L !, rental .of 5s per acre, subject to conditions 'j for the accommodation of travelling stock.'
