AMERICA AND THE PHILIPPINES.
United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—C.-sr.yri«-h*. HONGKONG, February 15. Later details show that the British, American, and German consulates in Iloilo were burned. The losses of the Filipino, were not as severe as at first reported. WASHINGTON. February 15. The German Government has officially denied the rumoured sale of German arms to the Filipinos. Before the Senate finally adopted, by 26 votes to 22, Senator McHenery's resolutions with reference to the Philippines, Senator Hoar denounced them as infamous, and said they favoured the Louisiana sugar planters. Only a heart of stone would not recognise Aquinaldo's remarkable appeal.
