RAILWAY MANAGEMENT.

Sir, —In the roport road last night at the meeting of the Railway Reform League there cecurs one word which, indosd, is the very "foivs et origo" of the present misman agomemt. The rorx>rt states that the management is "unscientific." Quite so, and it will ever be the same until we realise, as you point out in your able loader, the need of sending Home and obtaining the services of an expert who, from his training and experience, will manage our lines in a scientific and practical manner. How much longer will the more enlightened of the public shut their eyes to the object lesson provided by New South Wales? —Yours, &c, COMMON SENSE.
