■■•*■- (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, February 10. The session of the Congregational Union has closed. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Rev. Sydney Baker (Canterbury); secretary, Rev. F. Warner (Auckland) ; treasurer, Mr W. H. Lyon (re-elected) ; registrar, Mr F. Meadowcroft; auditor, Mr John Bowden. WOOL SALE. The last wool sale of the season was held yesterday, when 3114 bales were offered, and there was a good attendance of Home and local buyers. The local woollen factories, with one" exception, were not operating. The bulk of the wool offered was chiefly odd and inferior lots, and represented the clearing up of the different wool stores. There were, however, a few good station clips that included some superfine merino and halfbred. Except for the fine wools, which fully held their own, the sale was very irregular, and coarse wools and inferior lots were -Jd to _d lower than at the previous sale, and a good deal was passed in. The market was topped in scoured wool by Culverden merino combing, which made 14|d, Craigieburn greasy merino reached 9d, and Mount White greasr halfbred BJd. The range of values for greasy wool was:—Super merino 8d to 9d medium 7d to 7|d, inferior s_,d to 6_,d ; super halfbred 7|d to Bid, medium 7d to 7_,d, inferior 5d to 6_d; inferior to medium crossbred 4dto 6_kl ; merino pieces' s±d to 7_kl ; best crossbred pieces- 6d to 7__d, inferior to good 2|d to s_.d; locks Id to 2£d; scoured wool, combing merino 14|d, merino locks and pi.:._ lljd to ll.d, halfbred llf dto 12Jd, ha. fbred pieces lOd to lljd, halfbred locks BJd, crossbred 7£d to B±d, crossbred pieces 6|d to 7Jd. Of the total of 3114 bales offered, 2188 bales were sold at auction, the business done by the various brokers being as under: — Messrs Friedlander Bros, offered 70 baies sold 25 ; Messrs Dalgety and Co. offered 285' 80 _ ?£ ; Messrs Prne and Co - offCT «*i 521! sold 403; Messrs J.
