(BY OUR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) The wet weather affected both the attendance and the entries of stock at Addington, but business throughout was fairly brisk, except in fat sheep and fat cattle. A large and mixed entry of store sheep met a good demand, more especially for breeding ewes and good lambs. Mixed twotooths mad 3 8s 9d to 10s 6d ; a line of 1300 two-tooth wethers 10s to 10s Id; best sorts of breeding owes 10s Id to 11s Id ; medium, 7s 10d to 8s 6d ; and others, 3s 8d to 5s lid ; forward lambs, 8s 2d to 9s Id; others, Ss to 7s 6d. % A good yarding of fat lambs contained a few extra choice consignments; including some from the Agricultural College, which brought 12s 5d and 12s lid; and anything really prime sold well, but a great many unfinished lots were easier. Freezing sorrs made from 10s to 12s 6d; graziers and butchers' lots. 8s to 9s 6d. The chief sales were for:—Mr J. Burnside market:—Fat cattle—l3l head were yarded, the greater part} good to prime. The supply bsing small, ream- prime oxen sold at rather better prices, other sorts firm at late rates. Best bullocks £8 to £10, others £5 10s to £7 15s. best heifers £5 to £6 12s 6d, others £3 10s to £4 15e. Fat sheep—279s were penned, the bulk were aged ewes of medium quality, with an odd pen or two prime wethere. The latter brought fully late quotations, but ewes being in excessive supply, suffered a fall of Is to 2s per head. Best crossbred wethers sold at 11s 6d to 14s 9d, others 10s 3d to 11s. 3d, best ewes (young) 9s to 10s 9d, others 6s to 8s 9d. Fat lambs—l 692 were penned, most of these were stores, the rest being butchers' lines and some small lots suitable for freezing. The latter sold ab late rates, but others were easier. Best lines 9s to 10s 6d, medium 7s 6d to 8s 9d, others 5s 9d to 7s 3d.
