The Archbishop of Canterbury holds a public court on February 14th to hear any Ritualistic clergy desiring to appear according to the decisions of the Archbishop, cabled on January 22nd. A SCHOOL TEACHER SHOT. Bertha Paterson, an eccentric daughter of the Rector of Biddenden, in Kent, suddenly shot dead a married Sunday school teacher named Whibly. The shooting was the result of a trifling quarrel. DISTURBANCES IN ALGIERS. PARIS, February 6. Owing to disturbances in the city of Algiers the Governor has prohibited political meetings. The mayor of the municipality has been suspended. FATAL FIRE In HUNGARY. VIENNA, February 6. The village of Nagybabroes, in Hungary, was destroyed by fire. Ninety charred bodies were recovered, many people being suffocated or frozen to death, the weather being extremely cold. Others were trampled to death by maddened oxen. Three hundred houses were burned.
