PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr J. G. Reid was a passenger by the express from the South last night. Mr Robert Smith was a passenger by the same train. Mr and Mrs C. M. George, of Cromwell, are in town. Mr and Mrs Pascoe left for the South yesterday. ' Mr Gordon D. Shaw, of West Australia, is in town. Mr Corrigan left for the North by last night's steamer. Mr A. G. Horton, Mr E. Horton, jun., and Miss A Horton, of Auckland, left for the South yesterday. Mr and Mrs Sparks left for the West Coast yesterday. Mr and Mrs Woodcock and Mr Broderick left for th_ South yesterday. The Hon. J. B. >A Acland and Mrs Acland, the Rev. S. J. Baker, and Messrs John Deans, A. W. Beaven, and A. R. Bloxam were passengers for the South by the exx>ress yesterday morning. The Rev. T. A. Hamilton was in Ashburton yestarday. Dr. Cordner, of Rakaia, is in town.
