(FliOM OUR. SPECIAL COR.__SPOSnE.Vr.
WELLINGTON, February 3.
Mr J. C. Martin, Public Trustee, has resigned. The statement has been made that this step has been taken owing to disagreements with the Premie-.* and his colleagues. Mr Martin denies this ; but it is significant that he has signified that he has no intention of entering the. Government service again after hiß return from a trip to England, which he contemplates immediately undertaking. Rumour has it that M • Martin will, when he comes back, enter into legal business either on his own account or in connection with a prominent firm in Wellington.
