ENGLISH TEAM FOR INDIA.
United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyngut. LONDON, February 2. Prince Ranjitsinjhi takes an English amateur cricket team to India in the winter.
A cricket match at Kaiapoi on Thursday with Cambridge terrace resulted in favour of Kaiapoi 124. Brown 52 not out, T. Wright 36, Driscoll 16, Whitley 9 not out; Cambridge terrace 39 (Hatch, sen., 13). Wright, Blackwell and Brown bowled for the winners.
The present round of Cup matche*will be continued this afternoon at Lancaster Park. The Midland team, which has already passed the century with only one wicket down, and the Lancaster Park" Club's representatives, who are well on towards the second hundred for the loss of two wickets, will resume batting.
