NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with ' the provisions of the above Act, that the Avdn Road Board propose: — 1. To construct kerbs and side channels of concrete on the following roads and streets and portions of roads and streets in the Papanm Ward of the Avon Road Board District, viz. : — The NORTH- ROAD, on the south-east side, from Green's road to its junction with the Papanui road, a distance of about 34 chains 64 links. . a M PAPANUI ROAD, on the west side, from its junction with Harewood road to the north and of* the present channelling and kerbing, in a line with the boundary between the properties of Messrs Joseph Palmer and George Dunnage, a distance of about 37 chains 25 links, and from the south end of the present channelling to the junction'of the north side of Norman's road, with the Papanui road, a distance of about 7 chains 75 links. The above-mentioned distances are approximate; Also, 'To construct any drains and outlets that may be required to carry away the water from these channels. 2. For such purposes to raise from the New Zealand Government, private company, or individual, a loan of £1200, the interest thereon, for the first year, to be paid out of the loan. 3. To set apart or pay annually the sum of £60 as interest and sinking fund, or payment in reduction of the proposed loan. 4. To pledge as security for the repayment of such loan, and interest thereon, an annually recurring rate of one shilling in the pound sterling an the annual rateable value of all properties fronting on the sections of each street or road, or part of each street or road proposed to be channelled and kerbed, as denned in Clause one CD of this notice, for a period of 26 years, from the date of raising such loan.
