■ (FBKS9 ASSOCIATION TKLEGKAM.) WELLINGTON, February 2. The value of the imports for the colony for the quarter ended December last was £2,187.406, against £2,227,196 for the correeponding period last year. Auckland imported goods to the value of £602,939, WelUasrton £506,862, Lyttelton and Christchurch £375,373, Dunedin £428,541. The total value of the imports for 1898 was £8,230,529, as against £8,055,223 for 1897. The export* last quarter were valued at £1,953,610, against £1,926,935 for the last quarter in 1897. The figures were divided aa follows:—Auckland £479,954, Wellington £363,170, Lyttelton and Christchurch £165,096, Dunedin £115,027. For the year the value of the exports was £10,523,295, against £10,016,993 in 1897.
