THE RICKARDS' COMPANY.
Mr Harry Rickards's Variety Company gave a chaiige of programme last night at the Theatre Royal. Mr Rickards himself appeared in one of two London successes, scoring an emphatic encore for his singing of "East and West." A one act drama, "Blind Love," produced for the first time, was performed with considerable success, the various parte being taken by Messrs Beflm&n and Hill, and Misses Madge, Katie and Noai Rickards. Miss Noni Rickards as "Dea," a blind girl and the heroine of the piece, played her part artistically, but without much life. Signer Ugo Biondi again astonished his audience by his lightning chajiges. An enthusiastic reception was accorded AL Bellman and Miss Moore in their musical terpsichorean sketch called "In Clover." A very pretty coon song was sung by Miss Moore. Mr'Winton and his wonderful talking figures' again reappeared with success. The other items, noticeably the singing of Mr Hamilton Hill, were well received. Mr Hill was encored. The company will appear this evening, and as a final performance a matinee will be given to-morrow afternoon.
