FROM DUCAL SILVER CASED (fit for a Prince) DOWNWARD. ~~~ FERTILIZER DRILLS. DRILL TRIALS being somewhat of a novelty last season, some Agricultural Societies did not succeed in making adequate, arrangements for the trials they held. At the St. Arnaud and Tatura (Victoria) trials, there was no judging, and consequently no awards were made, bat by an error the result of a trial at Tatura (Victoria) was cabled to us in New Zealand, stating that the Massey-Harris was first'and the Farmers' Favourite fourth. We now wish to put this right in the eyes of the public, and to state as above that there was no judging. The trials this year in which Massey-Harris and the Farmers' Favourite drill have met are as follows-.— At Willunga (South Australia)—MasseyHarris was first with 78 points and the, Farmers' Favourite was third with 60 points At Kay-bra—. (Victoria)— Massey-Harris was first with 38 points and the Farmers' Favourite fourth with 78 points At Cry*t_lbrook (South Australia)—MaaseyHarria was second with 89 2-sth points and the Fanners' Favourite third with 36J points At Bute (South Australia) —Maasey-Haxris was first. Farmers' Favourite was on the ground but did not compete. In addition to this the Massey-Harris drill won the Gold Medal, value £7 10s, at the Conference trial, held under the auspices of the Canterbury A. and P. Association last month, for the implement showing the greatest amount of thought and workmanship, calculated to provide the farmer with new and improved machinery, in competition with the P. and D. Duncan Drill and the Farmers* Favourite Combined Drill, and several other implements. The Massey-Harris Drill has also been awarded First Prize and Silver Medal at the Royal Agricultural Show at Adelaide this year. ■ For particulars address— MASSEY-HARRIS CO., LTD., Crawford street, Dunedin.
