Napieh, December 5. The only Senior Cup match played on Saturday was the finish of the County-
United contest at Hastings, The United with six wickets down for 122 added 33 runs (Dixon 12 and Margoliougth 12). Fannin's bowling average showed five wickets for 64.' Requiring 177 to win, the County made a determined stand, but they failed'by four runs. Wilson secured four wickets for 67 runs, and Severne three for 14. The three Junior matches were finished on Saturday. In the Alliance A-Scinde match the tornier secured a rather easy, win by 59 runs., -nightingale (four wickets for 7) and Sweetapple (five for 22) divided the bowling honours for tno winners. At Farndon the finish of the TaradaleHastings Tradesmen's match was very close. Requiring 94 to win Hastings, batting one man short, ran their opponents very close, their total reaching 89.. In the Awatoto-Alliance B match the former suffered defeat by 68 runs. . . . .. _ . . j
