AQUATICS.

I A meeting of the Christchurch Regatta Committee was held at the C.R.Q. boafchouse last night, Mr N. L. Macbeth in the chair. Letters appointing delegates were read from jthe Canterbury R.C., appointing Messrs F. il. Cowlishaw, F. W. Hobbs, N. L. MacI beth and J. R. Evans as delegates; from the Avon R.C., appointing Messrs J. Fuller, C. | Allard and J. McDonald; from the Christchurch Amateur R.C., appointing Messrs IH. H. Smith and R. F. Crosbie; and. from the U.R.C., appointing Messrs A. E; Craddock, G. H. Cooper and W..G.' Atack. Mr j Cowlishaw moved that a double sculling I race, in best and best boats, be added to last year's programme, distance one and a j half miles. The motion was carried. Messrs Cowlishaw, Craddock and Fuller were up-, pointed a committee to arrange the order of | the programme. It was decided to alter the conditions sq that members of the senior ' fours crews could not row in. the ladies' plate. The Stewart's Gully course was discussed. Mr Cowlishaw moved, and Mr-' Crosbie seconded,that it should be jbhe course selected. Mr Allard suggested that the course should be first inspected. It was eventually decided that s t_e Stewart's Gully course should be used: The secretary was instructed to write to the -Waimakariri Harbour Board, and ask for the high tides in Stewart's Gully on every Thursday in February. It was decided that the date of the regatta be left in the hands of the committee appointed to revise the programme.
