United Press Association—By Elect*, c Telegraph— Copyright. Received July 22nd, 12.40 -.m. MELBOURNE. July 21. The annual balance-sheet of the Victoria Racing Club shows the club to be £10,000 better off than twelve months ago. The profit of the last Cup meeting amounted to £9800, and the stakes paid away during the season totalled £36,000, compared with £34,000 in the previous season. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, July 21. The well-known local racehorse St. Regel, by St. Leger—Friendship, is dead.
