HEAVY FALL IN AMERICAN WHEAT. THE LEITER DEAL. United Press Association—By Electric Tdejraph— Copyright. Received June 15th, 12.50 a.«n. New York, June 14. American wheat has undergone tremendous "slumps" owing to Mr Leiter's immense sales. Ten million bushels have been sold in Chicago alone. A fortnight ago Mr Leiter was credited with a profit of five million dollars, but he now admits losses, the heaviest being on European ventures. Mr Leiter's father has withdrawn his support from him. London, June 14. At Mark Lane wheat is flat. English is 2s and foreign 8s to 4s lower on the week. The total arrivals of wool to date amount to 308,000 bales, of which 80,000 have been forwarded direct to the manufacturing centres, and 265,5&0 are available for next sale.
