The Linwood Cycling Club held its winter meeting at Lancaster Park yesterday. The attendance of spectators waa 'small, but there were good fields of competitors.' The Stanmore Band played selections during the afternoon. The following are the results: One Mile Maiden Handicap—R. Witlkor, scr, 1; E. H. Burley, 120 yds, 2 ; F. G. Bayne, 110 yds, 3. Won by eight lengths. Eight started.' No time fcaken.''} Half-mile Flying Handicap—First G. Porter, scr, 1; E. H. Burley, 80yae, 1; J. Grant, scr, 3. Won and a half lengths. Time, lmin 6£eeo. Second heat—• G. H. Robinson, 40yds, 1; F. R. 0. Caulton, 2yds, 2; C. Jonea, 65yde,3.. •Eleven started. -Finished all in a bunch. - Time, lmin 6 sec. Final heat—Jones I, Porter 2, Robinßon 3. Won by three lengthe. Time', lmin ssec. ~
Ladies , Bracelet Handioap ; one and a half mile—First heat—R. Walker, 3yds, 1; H. Ritchie, 45yds, 2 ; W. H. Trengrove, 60yds, 3. Won by half a length. Five started. Time, 4min 7j}sec. Second heat— C. Porter, cor, 1; O. W. Evans, 30yde, 2} J. Grant, scr, 3. Eight started. Binley and Ledez fell, but neither were seriously injured. Won by a length. Time, 3min 41seo. Final Heat—E. Porter 1, A. W. Evans 2, W. H. Trengrove 3. Six started. Won by a couple or .inches. Time, 3hun 49sec.
Winter Handicap; two miles—W. Robertson, 25yds, 1; E. jP. Archer, scr, 2;F. B. C. Walton, 55yds, 3. Fifteen started. Won by two feet. Time, smin 41sec. Race; , half-mile—Lewis 1, Griffin 2", Gnrivess 3. -About a dozen started. Lewis won as he liked. Time, lmin 2sec.
Challenge Shield Race ; three miles—-R. Walker, 130 yds, 1; B. A. Archer, 25yd«, 2; C. Porter, sor, 3. Fourteen started. This was a good race throughout, and the finish was very close, half a length separating first ana second, and the rest coming all in a bunch. Time, 7min 22$seo.
